I started in the car business at the age of 16 in 1987 as a lot man. After I decided the car business was my passion, I working in a recon shop finishing cars for the auction (Striping, touching up, etc.). I used to wake up at 5am on Wednesday and Friday’s to head to the auction to clean up cars on the lot before the auction. When the auction started I would stand in the lanes until the last car went through with my Galves books and studied the market. A year later after I learned how to look at a car and gained the knowledge to buy and sell wholesale, I went out on my own and built relationships with the local new car dealers. I opened a little used car lot and I was off to the races. After a few years wholesaling and retailing used cars I got the desire to become a new car dealer, so my next step was to sell my business and go to work for a new car dealer to learn the business. I started selling new cars to learn how the process works, and then I moved up to be the used car manager. I ran used car departments at a few new car dealerships. Including Honda, Toyota, Dodge, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissan and Mercedes Benz. After watching Bob Hollenshead grow to a mega wholesaler my passion reverted back to the wholesale car business. In the beginning of 2010 I met with Bob Hollenshead and joined him and his team. After he created and developed BuyBook Technologies, which was the platform for Auto Trader Trade in Market place. I had the opportunity to be an analyst until he sold the company to Cox. I am happy to be apart of the new technology and products Bob is currently working on. Also, I am a certified auto appraiser with the American Society of Certified Auto Appraisers..
